I'm a Senior Staff Application Engineer at Trust Co. Ltd. in Tokyo, where I work on Fastify and TypeScript services running on GCP Cloud Run, backed by CI/CD pipelines I helped design. Over 13 years I've moved from Java and Spring Boot into this stack, picking up GCP Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, and Kubernetes along the way — but the core of what I do hasn't changed: building systems that hold up under real transaction volume.

Most of that time has been in payments and fintech — leading a payments platform team at Episode Six working with ISO8583 messaging, handling large-scale data pipelines at MetLife, and building for scale at Rakuten. That's close to six years now inside the payments domain specifically, and it's shaped how I think about reliability, correctness, and the cost of getting things wrong.

I'm currently looking at what's next: a Senior Staff or Principal Engineer role at a larger engineering organization, ideally based in Germany or elsewhere in the EU. This site is where I'm collecting the projects and write-ups that explain how I think, not just what I've shipped.
